The finishing touch

Our fabrics continue their journey through Scotland as they go back to the Scottish Borders for the finishing process.

Plain coloured fabrics are piece dyed, which gives a consistent colour throughout the fabric.

All fabrics are washed thoroughly to get rid of residues and grease, which is naturally in woollen fabrics.

Some fabrics undergo a raising or boiling process to change the quality and feel of the fabric.
